I ran into an old highschool classmate tonight on the subway. We talked about ourselves,other people we knew and where they are in both their lives and careers.
I discovered that where I am now, trying to get my life started, find my footing, and start something of a career, isn't so different than that of many of the people I went to school with. It's comforting in a way knowing that I haven't been the only one feeling so lost and disoriented this whole time.

Getting up at 6:30am isn't so bad when it's sunny and bright, but when it's all grey, rainy, and gloomy out is almost as bad as having to wake up that early in the winter.

I've lost my patience with the weather being so cold and miserable! When is it going to start getting warm and STAYING warm?? It's been about 5 months, almost half a YEAR, of crappy, freezing winter! Cold is only good when it's in my fridge and freezer keeping things other than me cold.

I've had one of those days where just about everything has irritated me. I thought I was going to go out of my mind today. I'm stressed. I need a vacation, or just get away for a couple days. I need to hear something other than "when's that going to be done"!

I was going through a bunch of old pictures just a while ago, and all I kept thinking over and over was it's crazy how time just goes by so quickly. Looking at the photos, clearly remembering the day it was taken, and then realizing that for some the day was almost 10 years ago is indescribale. Where did the time go?!

I've finished hunting down and buying what I wanted off of ebay and other online stores, got all the email replies I've been waiting for have come in, and can finally stop using a credit card that I can't really afford to be using.
Now the fun part is waiting for the stuff to come in because it's going to feel like christmas again...in march (sounds familiar...)

I have a very mild case of the stomach flu and a bad case of a tension headache that's been going on for three days now, but has been getting better. It really sucks feeling this tired and sleepy and achy.
I went to the doctor and he told me take some tylenol and that next to rest and all the usual stuff for flu-like symptoms, that powerade type of drinks are good for during the flu to replenishing lost sugar,salt and water. All this time I thought there was no real use for those types of drinks, who knew?

I got my hair straightened for the first time a few days ago, it was weird to see it that way after having it curlyish for the longest time. I missed it. But now it's back to curly, which is good, because I'm getting a bit bored of straight again. Too bad I can't just wash it back to straight when curly gets boring so I don't have to deal with the hair pulling and slightly toasty scalp again.
